Governance

Protocol governance defines how the MintPass specification evolves — change proposals, versioning policy, working group structure, and the process for ratifying amendments to the entitlement standard.

Governance is designed to be open, auditable, and grounded in the needs of the organisations and infrastructure operators implementing the protocol. Changes to the specification must be backward-compatible unless a versioned breaking change is explicitly declared.

The governance model covers: specification versioning, change proposal process, working group participation, ratification criteria, and the deprecation policy for protocol primitives.
